The Holly Commercial Club Met Wednesday, December 2nd .  Full time membership is at 18 and there are five associate members as the year draws to a close.  John Golden proposed that the 2015 officers of the Club be retained as the 2016 officers and the motion was carried and approved by the Club membership.  The treasurer’s report showed a loss of $95.48 for November and a year-to-date loss of $2,842.09.  The Holly Shopper financial report indicated a $14.21 loss for November and a year-to-date net income of $262.81.

The members voted for a fifty cent increase for the cost of meals to $9 for 2016 and $8.50 if pre-paid for the year. A vote was carried to increase membership dues to $130 for the year and $30 for associate members.

The Holly Shopper Committee reported that they are increasing the coverage area for mailing the Shopper, and discontinuing the camera-ready discount for ads. (They will continue the full-member discount for ads.)  Extra postage for the increased mailing area should be offset by the discontinuance of the discount for camera-ready ads.

Chelsea Neugebauer was introduced to the membership by Amy Jacobs of KVAY. Neugebauer will be the KVAY sales representative for the Holly area.  Jacobs is the morning host, sports director and director of advertising for the station.  Jacobs suggested shortening the length of the radio ads, targeting them to promote businesses in Holly, rather than just seasonal events.
