High Plains Community Health Center Awarded Quality Outcome Funds

High Plains Community Health Center has received $61,775 in federal funds as a result of continuing to reach and surpass goals for clinical outcomes.
Examples of these would be how well High Plains’ diabetic patients have their blood sugar levels controlled and how patients with high blood pressure have their readings within normal limits.
Dr. Wayne Hudson, High Plains Vice-President of Medical Services notes “High Plains has a long history of providing a high quality of care that meets or exceeds national goals. We are now getting rewarded for those efforts. Our clinicians take great pride in keeping our patients healthy and out of the emergency room and hospital.”
These funds will be utilized to hire additional staff to assist with patient services.
