PCDI Board Members

The Prowers County Development Incorporated Board of Director’s monthly meeting was quite brief, as members moved into executive session to discuss personnel matters and an economic update this past Tuesday, April 28.

President Rick Robbins noted there was unfortunately, a poor turnout for the April 21 seminar hosted by PCDI pertaining to prescription drug abuse in the workplace.  Several more sessions have been planned to cover a host of work-oriented topics for business owners and managers, but no specific date has been selected.  Robbins said he wanted to discuss some options for those seminars during the work session.  The topics include a haz-mat seminar with the Colorado State Patrol, forklift operator certification and either basic web marketing or creating a handbook for employers/employees.

The two new board members, Kenia Vazquez and Ryan Sneller signed their confidentiality agreements, standard practice for new board members, which maintains privacy for any developing business matters that come before the board.  The committee responsible for creating a new job description for the PCDI executive director was also in attendance and will set up some future dates through the month to meet and finalize the advertisement.
