Residents of Holly and Granada are invited to a discussion regarding economic development in their respective communities, Tuesday evening, March 3, from 6pm to 8pm at the Granada Community Center.  Both communities are using funds from a REDI grant to assess potential economic growth based on their infrastructure.

The discussion is offered by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs at no cost to the public.  It will be conducted by a team of rural economic development professionals who share information and listen to the public’s input and ides and help plan for economic growth.

Residents and community members have been invited and any others who want to improve their town’s economy.  The best analysis and discussion depends on broad input from everyone, but particularly from business, community, education and government leaders.

An RSVP is appreciated but not required.  Questions concerning the meeting may be directed to the Economic Development Assessment Planning Team:  Darcy Owens-Trask, Rural Economic Development Initiative Program Coordinator at 303-335-7253 or darcy.owens-trask@state.co.us.  Jackie Malone, Granada Town Clerk, Granada@rural-com.com or 719-734-5411 or Jerry L’Estrange, Interim Holly Town Manager, jerry2@townofHolly.com or 719-537-6622.
