LCC Booster Club Offers Extra for Pack the Gym Night

Twenty-four students, boys and girls, from six area high schools, will compete in shooting skills for free throws and three-pointers during the LCC boys and girls half time during the Antelopes, ‘Pack the Gym’ night at the Wellness Center on January 13.
Teams from Walsh, Wiley, Holly, Granada, Lamar and McClave will compete for points in matched brackets for quarter,semi-final and championship competition during a series of home games for the Lamar Community College men’s and women’s Antelope teams. The brackets include competition on January 20 and the championship will be on February 21. Judge Stan Brinkley, from the LCC Booster Club, said contestants will have 90 seconds to score the most points using 15 balls and an additional bonus shot. The high school girl’s competition will be run during the Lady ‘Lopes half-time with their game beginning at 5:30pm. Boy’s competition will follow during the men ‘Lopes half-time with their game beginning at approximately 7:30pm.
Girl students include: Karina Avalos, Courtney Clark, Kiara Logan, D’Lanee Doyle, Laura Morales, Tacie Canfield, Ciarra Tate, Brittney Gonzales, Miranda Morgan, Brenna Vallejos and Sara Zamora. Boy teams include: Bryan Ortiz, T.J. Trujillo, Darin Cook, Dreydon Smith, Talon Barrett, Luis Yamez, C.J. Houser, Steven Weber, Caden Eastin, Sigi Avalos, Nate Esquival and Angel Ramos. Cost of admission for the high school match-up is $1 with student I.D.
