Lamar City Sales Tax Revenue, August Report

Total Sales and Use Tax Collections dropped 0.68% for the month of August, showing a revenue decline of only $1,871.63. Collections for August 2013 were $276,087, compared to $274,215 for the current period.
City Sales Tax collected for August was $2.48.242 for a drop of 1.12% compared to 2013. Use Tax Collections were up 5.62% compared to last year for a gain of $1,361.
Year-to-Date Collections for the same categories showed a decline of the combined collected taxes of 6.28% which meant a decrease for this year of $165,296. 2013 YTD collections were $2,632,699 and current collections are $2,467,402.
