June 24 Primary Election Information

Court House Windmill-2

Jana Coen, Prowers County Clerk & Recorder issued a reminder for active registered voters that all ballots have now been mailed to either their street address or Post Office Box.  If you have not yet received your ballot, come to the Prowers County Clerk’s Office at 301 South Main Street to request a replacement, up through Tuesday, June 24, Primary Election Day.

Registered unaffiliated electors may affiliate and cast a ballot any time up until and on Election Day.  Again, you’ll need to contact the Prowers County Clerk’s Office.  Separate ballots have been mailed to registered Republican, Democratic and American Constitution voters.

Locally, GOP voters will have two issues on which to cast a vote; either for Joe Marble or Ron Cook for Prowers County Commissioner, District 2 and for either Samuel Zordel or Ron Trowbridge for Prowers County Sheriff.  There are no contenders for either position on the Democratic Party ticket for Commissioner, so whoever wins the Primary will assume that office.  Ron Manly is running as an unaffiliated candidate for Sheriff and is working on his petition for signatures to be placed on the November Ballot.  Whoever wins the primary vote, Zordel or Trowbridge, may face him in the November General Election if he gains sufficient signatures.
