Wednesday, May 21
At 2:29 pm on May 21, fire personnel were dispatched to 912 West Olive Street in Lamar on report of a Molotov cocktail being thrown under a BBQ grill. The fire was out upon arrival, but the fire crew found the smell of chemicals and burned rags on the ground. The Lamar Police Department arrived on the scene and the investigation was turned over to them.
Friday, May 30
At 9:55 pm on May 30, fire crews were dispatched to a smoke detector activation located at 1305 South 10th Street in Lamar. Upon arrival on the scene, fire personnel found burnt food on the stove but no fire. The occupant advised that he was cooking food for his kids when the food burnt.
