Winners Announced for the “Why I Love the Lamar Public Library” Poster Contest

Library Lovers’ Month is a month-long celebration of school, public, and private libraries of all types. This is a time for everyone to recognize the value of libraries and to work to assure that the nation’s libraries continue to serve. In recognition of Library Lovers’ Month, Lamar Public Library sponsored a poster contest for students Kindergarten – 3rd Grade in which they were asked to draw the reasons why they love their library.
The three winners for this year are:

1st Grade
Payson Coen
(Alta Vista Charter School)
2nd Grade
Mia Zubia
(Mrs. Richards, Washington Elementary School)
Library Director, Debbie Reynolds, made a special trip to the classroom of each student on Thursday, March 20th. Each winner received $15.00 in Luv Bucks. Each participant will receive a ribbon and all posters are currently hanging in the “Hall of Fame” at Lamar Public Library. Be sure to stop by the library and view all the lovely posters!
