Saturday, February 22

At 4: 14 pm on February 22, fire personnel were dispatched to an alarm sounding at 3106 Memorial Drive in Lamar.  There was a single smoke detector activation in the upstairs hallway.  Upon arrival, the fire crew was met by the occupant who stated that she had overheated a frying pan.  There was no fire and she had opened doors to ventilate the area

Monday, February 24

At 12:07 pm on February 24, fire crews were dispatched to North Main Street and Cedar Street in Lamar on report of a vehicle accident.  Fire personnel responded to the three car motor vehicle accident with injuries.  Upon arrival at the scene, fire personnel found EMS already on the scene.  The three vehicles were in the northbound lane of Main Street and blocking Cedar Street.  One vehicle had heavy front end damage and was leaking antifreeze.  Oil dry was used to contain the leak area.  Fire crew contained the leak and gathered information.
