Firemen’s Ball Set for Valentine’s Day

The Lamar Fire Department Auxiliary is proud to bring back the Lamar Fire Department Firemen’s Ball after a decade of absence. This year’s ball will occur on Valentine’s Day and will offer a night of great food, silent auction, cash bar, and dancing. Cow Palace Rodeway Inn will host the event with a brisket or rotisserie chicken dinner and music by DJ Steve Hernandez.
Proceeds from the event will go to help pay for this year’s fireworks. Multiple fundraisers are held by the auxiliary as well as other organizations around town to help raise funds for the Independence Day event and prevent our firefighters and EMS personnel from having to go door to door.
Tickets cost $25 per plate which include the dinner from 6-8p.m., social hour from 7-8p.m., and the dance to follow from 8-midnight. Separate tickets can be purchased for the dance only for $8 per person or $15 per couple. Tickets can be purchased at the Lamar Fire Department until February 7th. Or you may call 719-691-1687 or 719-688-9277. The community is encouraged to attend and support your local department.
