The November 2013 Total Sales and Use Tax Collections gained 3.26% or $8,014 for October sales, collected in November. 2012 was $245,924.74 while the current year showed $253,938.85. Year to date collections for Total Sales and Use Tax for 2013 showed an increase of 3.15% for a difference between 2012 and 2013 of $96,836.47. The year to date figure for 2012 was $3,073,124 and 2013 was $3,169,961. Year to date Use Tax Collections for 2013 improved 15.24% over last year for an increase of $34,571.
The 12 retail sales categories used by the City of Lamar for Sales and Use Tax Revenue showed an increase in only four categories, year to date, between 2012 and 2013.
