Gearing Up for Spring at Lamar Community College

(Lamar, Colorado; October 31, 2013) On November 1, 2013 registration for spring semester will open at Lamar Community College. LCC is proud to announce new certificate offerings and exciting program changes for the upcoming semester.
The Agriculture program is adding a Veterinary Assistant Certificate to the spring schedule. The certificate, which can be completed in one semester, is designed for those who have an interest in obtaining a career working with animals.
For the first time, LCC’s Cosmetology program is allowing students to enroll part-time. Students can also register for the Nail Technician certificate this spring which is normally only offered during the summer semester.
The IT Academy Center for Excellence is offering 12 of the 16 credits needed to complete the Microsoft Office Suite Master Certificate. The four courses being offered include: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Students will complete the 4 remaining credits during the summer semester.
LCC’s Historic Preservation Program is being changed to better reflect industry needs. Those interested in the program are encouraged to visit www.lamarcc.edu/academics/occupational-programs/historic-preservation.
