Clare Dunn is native born this area. She is the daughter of R.B. and Tila Dunn of Two Buttes, CO. Her grandparents are the late Roy and Ruth Dunn and Barbara Dunn of Holly, CO and the late Clyde and Clara Adams of Keyes, OK. She is also the great granddaughter of the late L.E. and Estella Dunn of Gate, OK, the late A.B. and Nell Card of Alva, OK, the late Henry and Frances Witt of Hooker, OK and Granada CO, and the late Elmer Adams and Tressie Adams of Hooker, OK.
Clare moved to Nashville, TN in 2007 to pursue her dream of making music. She is a fearless performer, a dazzling guitar slinger, and a powerfully emotive singer whose unique blend of country and rock references a wide range of trailblazing influences, while maintaining a sound that is uniquely hers.
She grew up on the family farm, driving silage trucks, combines, eighteen wheelers, sorting cattle, tagging calves, checking calves and spent countless hours behind the wheel of a John Deere tractor, all the while soaking up music on any radio station that could be tuned in. Clapton, George Strait, The Stones, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and the Eagles created the Musical backdrop of her youth as she helped on the family owned farm and ranch where nothing comes without hard work and determination.
Since being in Nashville, she has carved out her niche within a music scene that often expects too little from its female performers. Able to drive a live show with nothing but a rhythm section, Clare is an accomplished entertainer who has appeared in front of numerous crowds across the county. Most recently she has opened for Florida Georgia Line, Parmalee, Jo Dee Messina, and Colt Ford. She has worked with such industry giants as Mr. Terry McBride, formerly of McBride and the Ride, writer of hits such as “Play Something Country”, “Cowgirls Don’t Cry”, “If You See him, If You See Her”, (Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire), Mr. Brice Long, writer of “Nothing on But the Radio” (Gary Allen) ,”Anything Goes” (Randy Houser), Mr. Ben West writer of “Try”(Pink), Angelo, Producer of Kings of Leon, Mr. Billy Burnette, formerly of Fleetwood Mac and writer of “River of Love”, (George Strait), “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind”, (Ray Charles), Mr. Jeff Stevens, Producer for Luke Bryan and writer of “Carrying Your Love with Me” (George Strait), “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye” (Luke Bryan), and Ms. Hilary Linsey, writer of “Jesus Take the Wheel”, “Just a Dream”, “Last Name”, “So Small” and most recently “See You Again”, (Carrie Underwood). Clare has also sung background vocals on numerous cuts, most recently, Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl Shake it for me”.
Clare signed to Ten Ten Music Group, a publishing company in December of 2011 and Buddy Lee Attractions, a booking agency out of Nashville, in April of 2013. Buddy Lee Attractions also books such acts as Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Will Hoge, Parmalee, and Colt Ford. She was chosen to perform in the renowned CMA Fest in Nashville, TN and hopped up on the “big stage” in June of 2013. Ms. Dunn is anticipating a release to Sirius XM Radio in the very near future.
