Mike Blakely to Visit Lamar Public Library, Give Free Concert

Author, Singer and Songwriter Mike Blakely will be giving a free concert on Monday, November 4 at 7:00pm in the Lamar Public Library’s Cultural Events Center.

Lamar Public Library is so very excited to offer Lamar and Southeastern Colorado with this wonderful opportunity to see one of the greats perform live!

Texas Author/Singer/Songwriter Mike Blakely has led an interesting career built on storytelling. Whether on paper or in song, he uses his gift to create and captivate his audience with stories of the western way of life.

Mr. Blakely is a man of many talents. He is a singer, songwriter and novelist who commands attention every time he steps into a room.

Award-winning Singer/Songwriter Mike Blakely has released 11 CDs, performed all over the U.S. and made 16 tours to Europe. His songs have been recorded by Gary P. Nunn, Red Steagall, Flaco Jimenez, Raul Malo, John Arthur Martinez, Randy Brown, Geronimo Trevino III, Pauline Reese, and others!

Also, an author, Mr. Blakely has published 17 books released by major New York City publishers (some of which are available for checkout at Lamar Public Library). His last two books were co-writes: one with Willie Nelson (A Tale Out of Luck), the other with Kenny Rogers (coming soon).
