Lamar Elks Lodge #1319 donated $900.00 of athletic equipment to the Partners for Hope Teen Center. Items donated were basketballs, footballs and flag football equipment, soccer balls, volleyballs, baseball and softball mitts and bats, pool cues, an electronic dart set and ping pong equipment. The money for this donation came from an Elk’s National Foundation Gratitude grant.

The Hope Center, located at 200 Nth 10th street (formerly Lincoln School), serves around 125 kids each day with a focus on Health, Opportunity, Prevention and Education. The students are curriculum oriented and are required to do their schoolwork before they are able to participate in the gym or game room. This center is a shining star in Lamar and the Lamar Elks are proud to support it.
