At 6:38 pm on Friday, July 19, fire personnel were dispatched to 12th Street at the North Canal in Lamar on report of a vehicle accident with injuries.  Fire personnel were called to a one vehicle roll over accident to check for hazardous materials.  The driver lost control of the vehicle which rolled into the canal where the vehicle came to rest on its roof.  Hazardous materials were not found, just residual oil off of the engine.  Fire personnel stayed on the scene of the accident until the vehicle was removed from the canal.
