Prowers Medical Center Announces Joint Board Meeting Scheduled – (Lamar, CO) April 5, 2013 – 

Prowers Medical Center would like to announce that a joint Board Meeting between the Board of Directors for Prowers Medical Center and High Plains Community Health Center has been scheduled for Thursday, April 11^th.  

The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm in the Buchanan Events Room (121) in the Lamar Community College Trustee Building located at 2401 South Main Street in Lamar, CO. 

Mr. Tom Dingus, CPA with Dingus, Zarecor & Associates PLLC – Certified Public Accountants will facilitate a discussion on how Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) can effectively work together to deliver quality healthcare under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). 

Additional topics of discussion may include:

• Community Based Healthcare Delivery System
• Accountable Care Organization
• Patient Centered Medical Home
• Community as a whole working collaboratively to achieve quality healthcare in our service area 

The meeting will be open to the general public.  Please join us as we come together to discuss opportunities that may exist to help us work through the many changes and challenges associated with healthcare reform.
