Darren Deloach #21, Threepete?

This Saturday night September 22nd, racing will be Fast, Fun and Exciting for everyone at the Lamar Speedway. Track Championships will be decided in all of the racing classes. The IMCA Modifieds will be a show all by themselves with Darren Deloach #21 and Brady Coen #3 tied for first with 211 points each. Adam Morris #8 and Matt Morris 21M are just behind with 205 points each.

Darren Deloach won the track championship at Goodland, KS, on Saturday night and at Colby, KS, on Sunday night. If Darren can win his third IMCA track championship this year, it will be a feat that very few have been able to accomplish. It would also be his third track championship at the Lamar Speedway, three years in a row. Brady Coen however will be driving his hardest to not let this happen. Brady was leading in points at the start of the last race in 2011 but was involved in an accident and Darren beat him by one point. Brady will be up on the wheel to not let it happen again.

In the Stock Car class Johnny Yutterman #18 is leading his brother Kelley #12 both drivers from Rockyford with 214 points to 209. This will likely be a good race. In the trucks, Keith Nidey #90 is leading with 197 points over Braunwyn Miller #42 with 196 points and Sheyenne Spady #82 with 195 points. Papa Keith says, “The girls are going to have to drive hard to beat me, I not going to let them have it”. Justin Lenox #33 leads in the Econos with 157 points and Rayce Coen #3 leads the Mini Stocks with 207 Points.Several Race tracks have finished their seasons so we can look for some out of town cars and trucks. A good car count or a DNF and these leads could change quickly.

The night will start for the fans at 7:00 P.M. with a lot of good racing, good food and lots of good company. Kid’s rides will be given during intermission to allow kids to take a ride with their favorite driver. Lots of prizes and gifts will be given out by the Speedway announcer Ryan Simmons and our Speedway Sponsors. It’s the last race night of the season, fun for the whole family; no one will want to miss it.
