Tin-Man Triathlon Enjoys Another Successful Year!

Lamar Parks and Recreation hosted its annual Tin-Man Triathlon on chilly August morning. 30 adult participants braved the cool temperatures to swim 500 yards, bike 14.5 miles and run 5 kilometers. There were also 17 kids that came out and participated in a modified course to fit their ability. The fast time of the day was put in Bryce Hiigel of Lamar, CO of 1 hour 16 minutes and 49 seconds. Lexie Orvin of Arvada, CO turned in the fastest women’s time of 1 hour 25 minutes and 57 seconds. Lamar Parks and Recreation would like to thank all the participants that competed in this year’s event! They would also like to thank all the volunteers that made this year’s triathlon a success, also a special thanks the volunteers from High Plains Community Heath Center for running our kids events!
