Lamar Speedway Race Finishes and Points

We didn’t have any rain Saturday night but there was Thunder on the High plains. Racers and fans all enjoyed the cooler weather and experienced very exciting racing action. 38 racers from near and far gathered at Lamar Speedway to deliver an awesome show for nearly 200 race fans. Dan Day driving #54 Super Stock of Farmersville, Texas, came to race at Lamar Speedway while he and his family were on vacation in Colorado.

Local Lamar racer driving #86 Modified, Justen Beakley, deserves the Tuff E’nuf award! Justen clipped his tire on turn two, flipping his car into the air and rolling two times. Car and driver made a clean landing and was able to drive into the pits. No injuries were reported by the driver and the car suffered a flat tire. We are thankful for Justen’s safe landing. Cars and trucks were not the only thing going fast around the Lamar Speedway! Kids of all ages enjoyed the Back To School Bash with discounted admission and the Bike Races during intermission.

The racers and fans want to extend a THANK YOU to the Yutterman family who covered the expense of water for our track this race. With no rain to speak of the Lamar Racing Club members have hauled loads of water so that the track can be prepared for racing. With out the generous support of the Yutterman family and our volunteers, those who enjoy the sport of racing would not have had the opportunity to participate in the family-friendly fun and excitement at Lamar Speedway! If you have not had a chance to come out, you still can. Our next scheduled race will be Saturday September 8th . Hope to see you there!
