Country Star Craig Campbell to Appear at the Sand and Sage Round-Up Kick-Off Concert

 NBC’s “The Voice Star” Gwen Sebastian to open.

The Sand and Sage Round-Up Fair board is proud to present nationally known country singer, Craig Campbell, in concert on Sunday August 5th at 8:00p.m..  The concert will be held at The Prowers County Fairgrounds in Lamar and tickets are $12 for reserved seating and $15 for arena access and are available at The Lamar Senior Center, 407 E. Olive St. weekdays from July 23rd to August 3rd from 4-8p.m..

Craig Campbell has been in the music charts for the last few years with his songs, “Family Man” and “Fish”.Campbellalso has a current song on the charts entitled “When I Get It”.Campbellhas been compared to country music’s’ Allen Jackson for his work and puts on an awesome show.

Joining Craig on stage that evening will be another star. Gwen Sebastian known to many from being a star on NBC’s hit show “The Voice” will be opening up the concert. Gwen has been touring the country this summer as a back-up singer for Mr. Blake Shelton. Gwen just released her new song entitled “Meet him in a Motel Room”

The Sand and Sage Round-Up PRCA Professional Rodeo will be held Friday, August 10th and Saturday, August 11th with the crowd pleasing BBQ before each rodeo. Saturday night will also feature the 2nd Annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink (TETWP) night at the Sand and Sage. Since its inception in 2004, TETWP has empowered rodeos and western events in the U.S. and Canada to focus attention on the need for a cure for cancer.  To date, the campaign has raised over $12 million dollars nationwide for cancer charities, much of which stays right in the community.  The grassroots movement has inspired other sports communities to mount their own TETWP campaigns, spreading a message of hope and support that reaches beyond the rodeo arena to competitors, families and fans across America.
