Audrey Austin…June 30, 1921 – June 16, 2012

A graveside funeral service for longtime Prowers County resident, Audrey Austin, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday June 19, 2012 at the Holly Cemetery in Holly, Colorado.  Pastor Rick Beard will officiate the service.

Per Audrey’s request there will be no visitation.

Mrs. Austin was born on June 30, 1921 in Pueblo, Colorado to Alfred and Goldie (Fouch) Madson, Sr. and departed this life on Saturday June 16, 2012 at Prowers Medical Center in Lamar with her loving family by her side at the age of 90.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband – Donald Allen; by her second husband – Gilbert Austin; by one grandson – Donald Edward Allen; and by three brothers – Alfred Madson Jr.; John Madson; and James Madson.

Audrey is survived by seven children – Carolyn (Lyle) Japhet of Pueblo West; Donald “Eddie” (Diane) Allen of Pueblo West; Beverley (Ron) Marquez of Garden City, KS; Rick (Nancy) Allen of Lamar; Kathy (Larry) Liles of Lamar; Linda (Ed) Crum of Holly; and Jackie (Kenny) Osban of Cheyenne, WY; by 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
