Two Holly Residents Receive Minor Injuries in Bent County Crash

Colorado State PatrolThe Colorado State Patrol is investigating a two vehicle, injury crash that occurred on Highway 50 in Bent County, Friday, June 8, 2012.

A 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, that was towing a trailer full of scrap metal, was traveling westbound near milepost 393 when it collided with the left rear quarter panel of a 2002 Buick Rendezvous as it was turning left into a residence. The Buick rotated counter clockwise, rolled one quarter time and came to rest on its right side, 20 feet south of Colorado 50. The Dodge then traveled southwest off the roadway, rolled a half time and came to rest on its roof approximately 90 feet south of Colorado 50. The trailer separated from the truck and came to rest south of the roadway intact.

The Buick’s driver, 59-year-old Marciline Aguilar of La Junta, was transported to AVRMC due to her injuries. Marciline was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The pickup’s driver, 27-year-old Marco Enciso of Holly, and his passenger, 18-year-old Isac Reyes were wearing their seatbelts and sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. They were both treated on scene by Bent County Medical personnel.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
