Current Highway Construction in S.E. Colorado

CO 89 Northbound/Southbound One Mile South of Holly (Milemarker 34) (through December 2011)  

 24 Hours There will be one lane alternating traffic with traffic signals for bridge reconstruction. 5-10 minute delays. 12 ft. width restriction is in effect through the work zone.

US 50 Eastbound/Westbound from CO 194 to CO 183 in Las Animas (Milemarker 400-404) (through July 2011)  

7:00am-7:00pm MO-FR Single lane closures for paving operations and sign replacement. Speed limit reduced to 40 mph through work zone. Delays possible.

US 24 Eastbound/Westbound /US 40/US 285 1/2 Mile East of Limon (Milemarker 380.4) (through August 2011) 

24 Hours Closed to through traffic 24/7 for bridge replacement. Local traffic can still use US 24 east and west of the bridge but will need to use I-70 as the detour. Traffic detoured to I-70 using exits 361 and 363.

US 40 Eastbound/Westbound US 40/287 East of Hugo (Milemarker 399-413) (through December 2011) 

7:00am-6:00pm MO-FR There will be one lane alternating traffic with flaggers at one or two locations per day for erosion control, bridge rail installation, sign work, landscaping, and delineation mileposts 405-413. One-lane alternating with flaggers for embankment work, erosion control, and box culvert work mileposts 400-404 during the same hours. 10 minute delays possible at each location.
