Area residents are preparing for the 20th Annual Granada/Bristol Days this Friday and Saturday, June 17 and 18.
The town is sponsoring the Friday evening burger benefit and auction from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the town complex. The proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new fire truck for the community. Saturday’s events start with a breakfast at Chez DuVall’s from 7:30 to 9:30am and the traditional Amache Walk begins at 8 o’clock.
Parade entrants need to line up at the high school before 10am. The parade route remains the same, from the school to the town park for the majority of the day’s activities. Vendors should be up and running by noon until 4pm. There’s Argie’s Famous Fly-over at 1pm and the Tee Ball Exhibition game will begin at 1:30, followed by a 2pm horseshoe tournament. Free prize give-aways will be drawn every thirty minutes. Bison Title has donated a bicycle for a raffle on Saturday.
The annual Granada Alumni Reception will be held at the school at 5pm followed by the 6pm banquet and an open air dance will start at 8am.
