Mass of Christian Burial for Patsy Switzer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Holly, Colorado with Rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Holly Cemetery. Visitation for Patsy will be held at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
Patsy Jean Switzer was born on May 15, 1930 in Denver, CO to John and Ellen (Tabler) Hauser. She passed away on February 26, 2016 at her home in Pueblo, CO at the age of 85.
Patsy worked as a bookkeeper for Colorado/Kansas Seed Company, Dalby/Jensen Accounting, Prowers County Social Services, and United Way of Pueblo. Patsy enjoyed bowling and went on a state and national level. She was an avid gardener. Patsy also loved to travel, having visited almost every state in the U.S. . Patsy had a great love for animals especially her dog, Mocha. Patsy was a member of Christ the King Church of Pueblo and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Patsy is survived by her children, Foster Allenbaugh of Canon City, CO, Mike Allenbaugh of Pueblo, CO, Elaine Osbment of Thornton, CO, Kathy Trask of Pueblo, CO and John Switzer and wife, Valerie of Fountain, CO; brothers, Larry Hauser and wife, Carol of Cortez, CO and Tom Hauser of Dolan Springs, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen Hauser; brothers, John and Ted Hauser, her sister, Geraldine Hauser and her great grandson, James Owen.
