Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow after 9pm. Low around 22. Windy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 25 to 30 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tuesday
A 50 percent chance of snow, mainly before 11am. Areas of blowing snow before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

* CAUSE AND TIMING…A PACIFIC WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE   REGION TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING RESULTING IN A PROLONGED   PERIOD OF SNOW. INITIALLY SNOW WILL COME IN WAVES TONIGHT BEFORE   THE STEADIER AND HEAVIER SNOW SETS IN LATER MONDAY. SIGNIFICANT   WIND DRIVEN SNOW WILL BECOME THE FOCUS OF CONCERN ESPECIALLY
MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION…6 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS   POSSIBLE ON THE NORTHERN SLOPES OF THE RATON RIDGE.

* WIND…EAST WINDS AT 10 TO 20 MPH…BECOMING NORTH AT 15 TO 30   MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH BY MONDAY EVENING.
