Dale Thatcher…October 11, 1938 – January 24, 2016

Dale Berwyn Thatcher was born on October 11, 1938 in La Junta, Colorado to Roy C. and Rose (Kaufman) Thatcher. He passed away on January 24, 2016 in Las Animas, Colorado.

Dale spent his entire life on the family’s homestead, South of Las Animas, Colorado, carrying on their multi-generational trade of raising cattle.

Dale is survived by his son, Mark (Amy) Thatcher; sister, Lorraine (Ed) Blackburn; grandchildren, Kayla Chavez, Austin Thatcher, Savana Thatcher; great grandson, Cameron Chavez; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rose Thatcher; brothers, Bruce “Skeeter” Thatcher, Merl “Cotton” Thatcher, Chester Thatcher; sisters, Audrey Hart, Bonnie Thatcher and Gwen Thatcher.
