A Memorial Mass for Eunice Sinforosa Williams will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, Colorado, Father Raymond Grimes will officiate. A rosary/scripture service will be held at 9:30 a.m. also at the church. Inurnment will take place following the Mass service at the Bent/Las Animas Cemetery, Las Animas, Colorado.
Eunice Sinforosa, one of seven sisters, was born on September 13, 1963 in Commerce City, Colorado to Jose and Fabiola (Montano) Lovato. She passed away in Olney Springs, Colorado on December 17, 2015.
She moved to the state of Washington for a time with her dog Mutlee Matel to strengthen her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. While there she enjoyed visiting the beautiful tulip fields when they were in season. Eunice loved plants and animals and always had her own flower and vegetable garden.
Eunice attended Otero Jr. College graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Dietetics. Over the years she wore many hats, working for her parents in the family restaurant business, as a financial needs analyzer, a pet groomer, opened a private juice bar in Las Animas where she delivered juice to her customers, and was a residential redeveloper for a time in Pueblo, Colorado.
Eunice returned to her roots and married Ron Williams, taking great pride in becoming a “Gammy” overnight. Eunice and Ron eventually settled in Olney Springs, Colorado.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Fabiola and William Cluck; sisters, Jurella (Vincent) Costilla of McAllan, Texas, Janice (Allen) Sorrow of Lamar, Colorado, Nancy Losey of Pueblo West, Colorado, Norma (Kevin) Swanson of Lamar, Colorado, Cynthia (Jeff) Hernandez of Lamar, Colorado, Florinda “Seventhia” (Brian) Johnston of Chowchilla, California; twenty-two nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Lovato; step-mother, Carolina Lovato; maternal grandparents, Ramona (Sanchez-Baca) and Antanacio Montano; paternal grandparents, Gavino and Florinda (Chavez) Lovato.
