Gary LaCost, Exalted Ruler of the Lamar Elks Lodge, #1319 in Lamar, said over 100 persons came out for the Friday night prime rib dinner, honoring local veterans who received a free dinner.  Oscar Riley noted that 34 veterans were served.

PER Jared Crabtree was presented with an Espirit de Corps award of excellence for his work with the Lamar Elks, and especially area veterans.

Another award of appreciation was given to family members of the late Ernie Eddleman for his generous land donation made to the Elks in the 1960s.  Accepting the award was David Tzilkowski and his wife, Jillane Hixson and her brother Ron Hixson.
