Registration for the Spring Semester at Lamar Community College will open on November 1, 2015.
Lamar Community College continues to offer a wide range of career and technical education (CTE) programs including welding, historic preservation, renewable energy, and cosmetology/barbering. These programs continue to grow in popularity because they provide hands-on learning experience while preparing students for immediate employment in today’s demanding work environments.
Additionally, Lamar Community College has made several changes to the schedule in order to best serve a wide variety of students. Several classes that have not been taught for several semesters have been returned to the schedule including two Criminal Justice courses (Correctional Process and Criminology) as well as Science in Society and Abnormal Psychology. A number of new courses have also been added including Comparative Religions and Piping Skills, a construction trades course in plumbing.
Current LCC students should set up a meeting with their advisor to plan their next semester and make sure they are on the correct pathway. Any new students interested in registering for classes are encouraged to call 719-336-1590 to set up a meeting with an admissions counselor.
