Governor to Appoint New District Court Judge
The Fifteenth Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated two candidates for a district court judgeship created by the retirement of the Honorable P. Douglas Tallman, effective Oct. 3, 2015. Nominees Michael J. Davidson and Donald L. Steerman, both of Lamar, were selected by the commission on Sept. 14, 2015, at a meeting in Lamar.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from Sept. 15, 2015, within which to appoint one of the nominees as district court judge for the Fifteenth Judicial District (Baca, Cheyenne, Kiowa and Prowers counties).
