The Lamar Chamber of Commerce Honkers recently paid a visit to two businesses in Wiley.
Little House Mercantile LLC, at 602 Main Street Wiley, CO is just a 15 minute drive from Lamar. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. For any other time call the proprietor Carol Owen at 719-688-1392. Little House Mercantile takes some consignment depending on what it is. Bargain hunters will shop in six rooms full of Antiques, Vintage, Handmade, Purses, Jewelry, Home Décor and more.
The next stop on their visit was to pay a welcome visit to the Cornerstone Café and Coffee Shop at 223 Main Street in Wiley, owned by the Wiley Community Church. The Cornerstone Crew is Maggie Schneider, Stacey Steward, Sheila Castanos, Allyson Hinkle and cook Frankie Torres. The volunteer crew and helpers from Wiley Community Church include: Eula Meyers, Jen Piper, Frank and Ruth Deatrich, Rachel, Braden and Kristen Marks, Mike and Judy Schneider and Ed Groomer.
Patrons can select from the menu which features a lot of favorites for breakfast, lunch or dinner including breakfast burritos or pancakes and French toast, plenty of sandwiches including a variety of mouth-watering hamburgers such as a stuffed jalapeno burger. Dinners are served Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. Beverages include flavored coffees and cold drinks feature such selections as smoothies or Mocha Granita and Italian Cream Soda. Their website at www.cornerstonecafe.us. is currently under construction, but be sure to follow them on facebook and twitter.
