Johnny Trujillo…May 8, 1955 – July 4, 2015

Mass of Christian burial for Johnny Trujillo will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish in La Junta, Colorado with Father Kenneth Oguzie officiating. A rosary/scripture service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30 a.m. Visitation for Johnny will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Horber Funeral Chapel. Johnny Trujillo was born on May 8, 1955 to Manuel A. Trujillo and Jennie (Padilla) in Las Animas, CO. He left us on July 4, 2015 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, at the age of 60.

After graduating from Las Animas High School, Johnny served our country in the United States Navy. Upon returning from his time in the service, Johnny went to work as a CNA at Ft. Lyon Veteran’s Hospital, and later obtained his associates degree in Computer Technology.

Johnny is survived by his daughter,  Jennie (Frank) Martinez of Las Animas, CO; grandchildren, Sierra, Calista, Alexis, Frank Jr., Angel, Dominique, Alyssa, and Mario; brother, Manuel (Linda)Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Mary (Delfino) Martinez of Las Animas, CO; Mother of Jennie, Reyna Gonzalez; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Larry Trujillo.
