Celebrating Lamar’s Youth

Comer-WEBLamar High School’s Amber Comer is the 2014-2015 Prowers Conservation District scholarship recipient. Congratulations and continued success to Amber! Amber won a $500 dollar scholarship for her hard work, involvement in 4 H & FFA, excellent community service, high grade point average and ACT scores. While in FFA she won a Greenhand Award, State Chapter Farmer, State Career Development Experience, received a first in Colorado Breeding Swine Proficiency award – raised the Grand Champion hog and lamb at the Sand and Sage Fair, Amber had numerous Championship and Reserve Champion Showmanship and Record Book awards.  Prowers Conservation District is happy to give this scholarship to Amber Comer who has volunteered and tutored in the area and is a key to the future in conservation!
