New Time for Wiley Hay Days Parade

The Wiley Hay Days Parade will begin at 10am this year, on Saturday, June 20.  The parade line up will begin at 9:30am on Ward Street and there are no entry forms or fee required to take part in the annual event along Main Street.

The schedule of events begins on Friday, June 19 with the 6pm softball game and the King and Queen will be crowned during the competition.  Wiley Lions Bingo will begin at 7:30pm at the community center and kids game night will be held at the Fireplace Room.

Many other traditional events will take place at their usual times on Saturday, June 20 with the Wiley Hay Days Run/Walk at 7am, followed by the breakfast from 7am to 9am at the AVHAP.  Vendors can begin setting from 8am to 9am and the Wiley Car Show will run from 9am to 2pm, along with the My Turbo Ponies Car Club for women who wish to enter their vehicles.

The Kid’s Carnival begins at 10:30am with free games, along with the Fire Department Dunk Tank and the traditional Sloppy Joe lunch will be served from 11:30am to 1pm.  Other activities include the 1pm turtle race, the 1:30pm Duck Race, 2pm ping pong ball drop for three age groups, (0-5)(6-12)(13-adult) will line up along sections of Main Street.  There should always be a great turnout for the ice cream social at 2:30 at the Community Church and the Wiley Fire Department will host the 5:30pm hamburger dinner.  Residents can round out the evening with dancing to live music provided by Glass Apparatus, a local band from Eads, performing from 7pm to 11pm at the Main Street Park.
