The Board of Directors for Southeast Colorado Enterprise Development, Inc. (SECED, Inc.) in Lamar is pleased to announce that Mrs. Stephanie Gonzales of Granada has accepted the position of Executive Director for SECED, Inc. and will commence her duties on March 2, 2015.

Stephanie, along with her husband Manuel Gonzales, Jr. and children Bryan, Brittany and Brandon, have been lifelong residents of Southeast Colorado.  She received her Associate’s Degree from Lamar Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting with a Business Administration emphasis from Colorado State University in Pueblo (formerly the University of Southern Colorado).

Stephanie has 16 years of experience working for SECED in the capacity of finance and management.  She has served as the Finance Officer/Director since 1998 and has been involved in the application, management, and financial reporting of the programs managed by SECED.  Stephanie is excited for the opportunity to serve the area and looks forward to continuing to manage and promote our programs which includes the revolving loan fund (business assistance), the rehabilitation program (single-family owner-occupied housing rehab), marketing and administering the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit program for the region.

Stephanie credits a hard-working, support staff for accomplishing this goal.  Stephanie is eager to work with and create new partnerships with economic developers, local communities and counties that SECED serves in the five-county region consisting of Baca, Bent, Crowley, Kiowa and Prowers.

Stephanie strives to develop a greater presence for SECED not only locally but in the State arena, which will help to promote the goals and mission of SECED for greater enterprise and economic development in Southeast Colorado.  SECED is an extraordinary avenue for accessing federal and state funding into our area.
