Gilbert L. Nelson

Gib Nelson was born January 14, 1944 in Lamar, Colorado. He passed away February 4, 2015.  He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel Mae and Floyd Nelson, and his daughter Holly Nelson.

Survived by his wife Marsha of Colorado City, son Casey (Alissa) Nelson of Denver, step-daughter Prina (Dan) Fitzgerald of Pueblo, granddaughter Ruby, and sister Bonnie (Ron) Bair of Lamar.

Gib was a true cowboy, twice winning the IFCA World Championship in team roping. He loved his life in the saddle, working with horses and cattle daily. He was a Life Card Member of the International Feedlot Cowboy Association.

Luncheon will be at 11:00am on Tuesday February 10^th at the Longhorn Steakhouse, Springfield, Colorado

Graveside Service will follow at 1:00pm at the Springfield Cemetery.
