On Sunday, January 18, 2015 at approximately 12:10 P.M. Lamar Police Department Officers along with Prowers County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Holly Street just west of McDonalds on a report of a man down. Officers and Deputies investigated and Prowers County Coroner ruled the death a suicide.

Lamar Police are investigating the cause and identity of a man found dead in the rear of McDonalds in Lamar early Sunday afternoon, January 18. The Lamar Police and Fire and Ambulance responded to the call at 12:10pm.
Later in the afternoon, the person had been identified, but an official release on his name and the cause of his death has not been made public at this time.
