Nancy A. Smith…July 4, 1948 – January 8, 2015

Nancy Ann Smith passed away peacefully on January 8, 2015 at her home in Las Animas, CO at the age of 66.  She was born July 4, 1948 in Las Animas, CO to Lonnie and Eva (Odell) Netherton.

Nancy married Darol Smith on October 17, 1975 in Las Animas.  This marriage was blessed with three children.  Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church and for many years worked at Fort Lyon.  She took great pride in her children and grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Darol Smith of the home; children, Jennifer and husband, Justin Weber of La Junta, CO, Melinda Burnside of Colorado Springs, CO, and Brian and wife, Renea Smith of McCook, NE; brother, Russell Netherton; grandchildren, Casey Weber, Preston Burnside, Carrington and Asher Smith; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janice Monaco.
