Funeral services for Holly, Colorado resident, Margaret Clark will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Holly, Colorado. Interment will follow in the Holly, Cemetery. Pastor Ralph Plummer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 and 9:30-11:30 Wednesday,
January 28, 2015 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, Colorado.
Margaret Adelia Clark was born on September 23, 1925 in Syracuse, Kansas to Charles H. and Lillian A. (Smith) Swisher. She passed away on January 15, 2015 in Redding, California at the age of 89.
Margaret moved to Holly in 1943 with her mother, Lillian Swisher. Margaret worked for her mother at Lil’s Café for several years. On August 5, 1945 she married Robert Dudley Clark. To this union 6 children were born. In the early 1970’s Margaret met George Allen who was her companion for over 40 years. Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by 5 daughters, Lyana Loggins and husband, Jerry of Tyler, TX, Linda Crofts of Redding, CA, Johnnie Crum, Tamie Cathcart, and Carma Smith all of Holly, CO; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Jackie Schmidt and Dee Dee Lindsay. Margaret is also survived by George’s children, John Allen and wife, Jeanne of Holly, Sherry Vecellio and husband, Albert of Farmington, NM and Sharon “Susie” Ivy of Amarillo, TX and their families.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her 11 siblings; husband, Robert Clark; son, Larry Robert “Bobby” Clark; grandson, Jeffrey Cathcart; and companion, George Allen.
