Paul Perez..April 18, 1939 – December 26, 2014

A Mass of Christian Burial for lifetime Prowers County resident, Paul Perez will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Stephen Olamolu as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Veteran’s Section of Fairmount Cemetery.

A rosary service for Paul will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, January 1, 2015 also at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting.

Visitation for Paul will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Paul was born on April 18, 1939 at Lamar, Colorado to Sotero and Victoria (Fernandez) Perez and passed away on December 26, 2014 at the age of 75.

He his preceded in death by his wife; Angie Perez, his parents and two sisters; Katheryn and Alice.

Paul is survived by his children; Bernadette Hernandez, Larry Hernandez, Veronica Olvera all of Lamar, Troy Melgoza of Pueblo, Kelly (Christa) Melgoza of Lamar, Damian (Camie) Melgoza of Gove, Kansas and Mercy (Armando) Miramontes of Lamar, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
