Ten different vendors, rotating off and on at the seasonal Craft Show at 201 South Main Street in Lamar, raised $360 for two local charitable organizations. Betty Civis, along with Lenora Springer and Virginia Hernandez, donated their time to help run the Craft Show from November 14 to December 21. Civis said the funds will be divided equally between The Compassion Center and Sparrowhouse Ministries. All three organizers offered a special thanks to Bill and Linda Owens as the office space was donated by them and Stockman’s Motor Lounge.
The Craft Show was open every Friday thru Sunday up to December 21. Vendors offered jewelry, baked goods, unique gift items and homemade crafts. Shoppers were also encouraged to drop off a non-perishable food item when they visited the temporary store and the donations were delivered to the pantries.
