Jillian Tinnes departed this world to join her loving creator and God as well as her beloved grandmother; Connie Castro in his majestic kingdom on November 28th 2014. She died in her own home surrounded by her adoring family.
Jillian entered this world as Jillian Sweet Castro on April 1st, 1976. She is survived by her husband Montee Tinnes, her one true love. Her daughter Haven, who gave her a reason for living whom she referred to endearingly as “Boog”. Her best friend and sister, Megan Grett whom she mutually loved and adored. Her parents Elmer and Julie Grett whom she considered her fountain of strength, guidance, courage and love. A step daughter Zoe Tinnes, whom she cared for deeply. Finally, she also leaves behind her beloved pet “Sundae”, the Golden-Doodle she picked out from a litter of pups, 2 years ago. Jillian said that she hated having to say good-bye to not only so many family members including cousins, nieces, and nephews but also friends and acquaintances, which are too numerous to mention.
Jillian influenced and inspired many people while she was here with us, primarily through her laughter, beauty, strength, courage, and will. Her message to us all when she was nearing her last moments was this “you have to love one another”. Jillian knew that this was God’s greatest request of all his children.
Jillian will now sparkle the heavens with her loving spirit while watching over her beloved family and cherished friends.
A celebration honoring Jillian’s life will be held at the Lamar Christian Church at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 4th, 2014, followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Francis/ Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 11:00 am in Lamar, CO. All friends and family are invited to gather at the Eagles Lodge at 1:00 pm for memory sharing and to partake in a small banquet in Jillian’s honor.
