Dolores Zamora, beloved head of the Zamora family passed away in her sleep in the early hours of Monday, December 15th, 2014 in Lamar, Colorado.
She was gifted with a long life that began on July 16, 1913 to Justo Barela and Antonia (Garcia) Barela at Wagon Mound, New Mexico.
A young Dolores moved to Lamar, Colorado when she was 8 years old. She married Esias Zamora and thus began a large family of two daughters and eight sons.
She is survived by Jim (Marina) of Fontana, CA, Robbi Rose (Steve) of Rio Rancho, NM, Carlos (Pat) of Ottawa, KS, John of Denver, CO, Joe of Lamar, and Andy of Northglenn, CO; daughters-in-law, Margaret (Junior) of Shawnee Mission, KS and Cathy (Ernesto) of Ratoul, KS; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Esias; daughter, Alice (Luis) Guerrero; and sons, David, Junior, and Ernesto.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO.
