Tractor Supply Update

Area residents have noticed construction work underway at the future Tractor Supply site just off Savage Avenue in Lamar. Workers have been painting the outside walls of the store and metal posts for fencing have been laid out in the concrete parking lot. The company received a permit from the City of Lamar to install the fencing which will safeguard outdoor merchandise.
The former ALCO building was purchased by RWL, LLC which, according to local realtor Don Filbeck, will lease the 40,000 square foot facility to Tractor Supply. Filbeck said that weather permitting, the new store is expected to be completed in January 2015 and should be open for business by late February or early March of next year. The former ALCO store ceased operation in Lamar in early 2014. Tractor Supply is located in 48 states across the country and recently opened venues in Pagosa and Alamosa, Colorado.
