City September Sales Tax Revenue Takes a Drop

Total Sales and Use Tax Collections for the City of Lamar fell to 5.73% below last year’s Year to Date for a drop of $167,038 compared to 2013. City Sales Tax collections for the same period were off 5.68% for a decline of $150,912 Year to Date collections on all taxes for 2014 is $2,748,983.49 compared to $2,916,022.25 for 2013.
September 2014 collections on all taxes were down 0.61% compared to last year for a drop of $1,742. 2014 collections on all taxes were $281,580 and $283,322 for 2013. City Sales Tax for September 2014 was off 0.25% for a drop of only $664.83.
