Steve Schemahorn…November 13, 1953 – October 24, 2014

A memorial service for lifetime Lamar resident, Steve Schemahorn will be held at 10:00am Wednesday October 29, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Mike Schneider will officiate the service and in-urnment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.

Per Steve’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

Steve was born on November 13, 1953 in Lamar, Colorado to Robert Glenn Schemahorn and Marie Annette (Gist) Schemahorn and departed this life on Friday October 24, 2014 at his home near Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 60.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; by one son – Bryson L. Schemahorn and by two brothers – Brian Schemahorn and James L. Schemahorn.

Steve Schemahorn is survived by his wife Sherri of the family home near Lamar; by one son – Scott (Kristin) Schemahorn of Omaha, NE; by one daughter – Megan (Eric) Donahue of Johnstown, CO; by three grandchildren – Greysen and Fletcher Schemahorn and Ryland Donahue; by one sister – Linda (Ron) Mulbery of Salem, OR; and by one brother – Bob Schemahorn of Lamar; also surviving are numerous nieces; nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice or to the Steve Schemahorn Memorial Fund in care of Peacock Funeral Home.
