Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, Colorado with Pastor Kathy Leathers officiating. Interment will be in the Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 1pm-5pm also at the funeral home in Holly.

Carolyn Rosetta Cobb Jackson, 73, of Coolidge, Kansas passed away September 20, 2014 at Saint Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born in Dodge City, Kansas on August 13, 1941 to Willard J. and Rosallie J. Cobb who both have preceded her in death.

Carolyn attended the Towner school system from 1st through 7th grade, then attended the Ford, Kansas school system from 8th grade through High School graduation where she was the Valedictorian of her senior class of 1959.

Carolyn worked for Case Power and Equipment for 10 years before becoming self -employed as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for more than 30 years.

Carolyn is survived by her four children, Daniel D. Hessman (Brenda) of Dodge City, Kansas, Gerald E. Hessman (Kay) of Columbus, Ohio, Douglas D. Lawson of Coolidge, Kansas and Cari L. Parkinson (Kevin) of Castle Rock, Colorado. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Adam Hessman, Andrew Hessman, Tess Lawson, Christian Lawson, Elizabeth Lawson, Abbigail Parkinson and Ethan Parkinson; two great grandchildren, Dominik Hessman and Riley Hessman as well as her two brothers, Charles W. Cobb of Coolidge, Kansas and Hubert L. Cobb of Penrose, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Carolyn Jackson memorial fund in care of Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 950, Lamar, CO 81052.
